Many believe that sometime in the future when they die and go to the afterlife , they will come before God and be in His presence to receive blessing or judgement according to their deeds in life. If this is the case then it could be a wonderful or fearful experience. Let me share another perspective on this . God or Tao or whatever name you want to express it as is not to be found in the future or exclusively in the afterlife. God is here and now , omnipresent !!! He/She/It is the basis of existence and within all the manifested and unmanifested universe. The question is not where is God . The question is are we attuned to the reality of His/Her/Its Presence or are we lost in the dream of egoic consciousness which prevents us from seeing reality as it is ?
If this is the case then why don't we try imagining that we are always in God's presence in this moment !

We are dwelling within God whenever we are in love, yes God is present and with us now, yes God is He and She. There is a strong love energy flowing between the he side of God and the she side of God. This love energy brings life to the universe. That's why we can fall in love even without knowing someone, it is because we have simply tuned into the love energy within God.

God's judgment is with us here and now also. He/She wants us to be attuned to the reality of His/Her existence. To know the source of the love we feel, to not get caught up in the finite vehicles that convey His/Her love. God's judgment came to the Jewish people in the here and now, before they died. Through the Philistines or the Babylonians. His judgment can come to us through an angry relative or neighbor if we forget Him/Her as the source, or neglect the laws He/She wants us to keep. When we appease His/Her anger our relatives or neighbors mysteriously calm down. (even if their anger was mixed with egoic consciousness)
