As I was reading some part of Ram Das website last night, this quote just kind of hit me deep inside so I thought I would share it with you!

I have been dancing the beautifully tragic dance and getting caught time and again. And then I see Blake remember, and he advances on to the next phase of his being. “If you could stand back far enough and watch the whole process…”

Realty Television

Recently I've had a lot of free time on my hands so I spent several hours a day watching reality TV. At first it was quite novel and in some ways entertaining. Primarily most shows are a Birdseye view of other individuals, families, or businesses as they live and interact each day. Inevitably, they all turn into dramas and issues surrounding, drugs, alcohol,sex, fame, relationship conflicts, etc. etc.
By about the third month I began to tire of the same old story on each show being regurgitated again and again in changing circumstances and different forms. Then I realized that these lives of drama and tragedy are the basis of huge profit for not only the characters in these shows, but also for all the producers, employees, and networks involved. Millions and millions are being made at the expense of human misery and tragedy. It is almost as bad as blood diamonds that have financed civil war in Africa and all the carnage that it entails. We live in an age when the world needs to see and be inspired by the highest aspects of the human spirit and soul.Unfortunately, societies appetite for the opposite still grips both the individual and collective consciousness of humanity. Please remember when you watch these shows you are supporting this system of darkness and tragedy whether you understand it or not.

The Cure

The fundamental illness that afflicts most of humanity is ego identification and attachment. All suffering both mental, emotional, and physical is rooted in this! This illness distorts our vision of reality and causes us to suffer.So what is the prescription and antidote to this poison of attachment to ego and things? The prescription is tantra and the antidote is chakrasanvara, The Wheel Of Perfect Bliss!
When your soul essence and entire being is immersed in perfect bliss and totally satisfied, the grasping and attachment to ego will be cut and you will be free to move to the other side of the river of Life. So cultivating the experience of chakrasamvara tantra is one of the highest portals to your potential liberation! When you experience the deathless dimension within yourself and taste the essential bliss(ananda), you will know the eternal nature of your essence and the impermanence of your form profoundly! This then melts away the addictation to ego that grips us in fear. In that bliss experience is the seed of fearlessness. This is tha path of the peaceful warrior ( Shambala )

Remembering the Witness

Wherever you are remember the witness! Don't try to be somewhere else. Just witness where you are at now! If you are sad,happy, jubilant, depressed, or even horny, remember to just look at it from the witness position1 Don't judge yourself or be angry. There is a reason that you feel & think the way you do now. Accept it, feel it and move on. This is the path to liberation, peace and joyful bliss!

Losing a Spouse

When we lose someone that we love in any way, it is not necessarily a bad thing alone. Even though it is painful and difficult, it may be the only way in which to truly find oneself, which is much more important than having the "other"! The others existence is ultimately there to help us on our inward journey, not to become a fixed dependency which is then a barrier to our progess! Any loss in life has the seed of this potentiality! On the wisdom path one can recognize this and use it to grow and benefit! This then will help others realize as well. Your tragedy becomes a portal into the Tao of existence!

Parallel Journeys

Life is a combination of external and internal journeys! The external is made up of places, people, time and circumstances! It has physical space and dimension to it! The internal journey which happens in conjunction with and through the external, is made of different stuff! It is a journey of energy elevation and spiritual realization! It is not bound by time and space but by ongoing levels of higher and higher consciousness. It is also a journey from ego based emotion to enlightened emotion and compassion. When we learn from our external joueney the lessons Life is trying to teach us, we progress on the internal path. When we don't learn, we then must repeat the same onoing conditions on the outside until we do get it and can progress further on the internal path! This is universal principle and cannot be changed or circumvented in any way! When you are able to embrace Life completely no matter what happens, and do it with awareness and intelligence, that is the secret to moving forward internally! Meditate frequently about your Life circumstances and all answers will eventually come!!! It is real so be it!

The Path of Intelligence vs. the Path of Wisdom

Most of humanity is treading on the path of intelligence. Itellectual knowledge and prowess are placed at a high priority and position by society in general! This is cause for great imbalance within the individual and is reflected in the world everywhere! We human beings have two other centers of intelligence besides the rational mind in the head. They are located in the heart chakra and in the hara, or dahn center located just below the navel. These other centers are equally important if not more important that the head! It is through the awareness and creative mastery of tese three energiy centers that one can move from the limited path of intelligence to the Path of Wisdom! The heart chakra center is there for emotional intelligence and compassionate action and the dahn center is there for awarness and enlightened consciousness! These aspects Allow us to experience life in all its breadth and fullnes ratrher than through the limited spectacles of the intellect!

Two Aspects of Sacredness

There are two aspects of sacredness! Aloness within oneself is the most fundamental and sacred of all. The second is love which has a partner in the process. Spiritual aloness is the primordial base of all existence! Through this sacred practice you can know Life as it existed before creation. This is fundamental sacredness! Through sacred love you can know the other as a partner in love. Through this experience you can know Life's motive for creation! This is why Jesus taught to love God with all your being and to love each other as you love God! Everything sacred exist within these two aspects!

Love Demands

When Love turns from a spontaneous flow of caring energy to expectations and demands, it is nearly on its deathbed! When partners in love lose that freedom and creative spontenaety, the ego has sunk its vicious teeth into something divine and turned it into something ugly! Ego love is not love at all. It is ego disguised as love! Please recognize this before it is too late and your precious love falls victim to the minds demand for control and certainty!

Worship

You should only worship your own Buddha nature and everyone else's as well! The Ego's function is then to simply serve The Buddha within us all!

Measuring The Ego

The size of a persons ego and measuring it is of the Ego. It is ultimately meaningless! So don't focus on doing that! The problem arises when we don't know our own essential Buddha nature and mistakenly identify with the Ego function of the personality as who we are. This then becomes a grasping attachment because of the fear that arises when we don't know who we are and when we feel cut of from the Source energy.The Ego function is a natural part of life! It is healthy when it serves our deeper essential nature which is Buddha (awake).

Judgement and Tonglen

Only a totally enlightened being has the right to judge others. Even, so they would probably prefer compassion to judgement. Thus is the way of the Bodhisattva!This is the practice of tonglen, exchanging places and karma. There is no higher love than this!

Last Night

Last Night I went to my new home to prepare it spiritually for when I move in next week, I did energy cleansing and sage smudging to purify the energy field there! As I was doing pujas at midnight, I felt your divine presence there so strongly! It came into my spirit and lifted my soul to a great awakening of bliss and ecstacy!My soul was profoundly purified and enlightened with your prayers and love like never before in my life! I am so grateful to you my love for the grace and power of your eternal light! May all sentient beings be blessed with this!

Cascading flow

Since meeting you I have never felt so much love in my heart as now! It is like a wellspring of divine love creating a cascading flow of pure emotion and compassionate energy. The Means

The means and motive by which we act are very important! It is impossible to create a heavenly world thru hellish means. Samsaric motives and means invariably result in more of the same samsaric karma. Einstein said the any problem in life will never be solved at the same level of consciousness that which it was created! It is only through a higher level of consciousness that the motives, inspirations, solutions and means can solve humanities tremendous challenges and problems today. The first place to look is at the heart. We need an awakening of higher and higher demensions of heart and compassion to truly bring about change and growth for society! Otherwise seemingly solved problems today will re-emerge in a new form form later!

The Spontaneous Emanation of the Heart

Genuine Love is a spontaneous flow and emanation of the heart and soul! It cannot be forced, regulated, or manipulated in any way. It comes from the deepest recesses of your being. If you are graced with an experience of real love in your life, you are truly blessed! If you are married, a great challenge will be to keep this love from going stale and becoming dead through moralistic tenets and high expectations and demands of each other. Inevitably when the high expectations of love become too hard to fulfill between marriage partners, the love can evaporate like the early morning fog over the mountains! This then can turn into an ego love, hellish prison. In this environment love quickly turns to indifference and sometimes hatred of the other. This is an all too familiar pattern in our society. The ego crushes love by the weight of its desire to contol and manipulate it!

The Richness of Presence

As I was meditating this evening I received this message. " The Richness of My Presence is so close to you all, and always as near as your own heart and soul. I am present nowhere except in the deepest parts of your essence and in the essence of all that I have created. There is, and can be no true separation between us. We are inextricably bound together in the mystery and majesty of Life itself, everflowing together with the Divine energy of egoless love and friendship. Please know this as certainly as you know that the sun rises every morning and sets every evening. It is a gift of beauty and slpendor that reveals my deepest heart to you all. Until now, only a few have seen. Soon all of you will know, hear and see me as clearly as a bright cloudless sky in springtime!" This ecstatic love and peace vibration will cover the earth in the undeniable bliss of ananda, your true essence!"

Natural Perfection

When we think of perfection in the usual sense, it is thought of as some type of conformity with a certain standard of conduct, morality, or unrealistic mental image of ourselves and others. This type of so called perfectionism is not healthy and unattainable when it is based in egoic consciousness! On the other hand there is something in the Buddhist/ Bon tradition called Natural Perfection or Dzogchen. This is realized either suddenly (vajra), or over time through practice and comes when one's energies are aligned with the Tao or center. By re-connecting with our original Buddha nature that is already within us and is already not lacking of anything , a simple naturalness and flow becomes self evident and glows outwardly to others as well! Then you naturally realize who you are and have always been!Awake!

Layers

Until you are no more, there are just layers. When you are no more, it doesn't matter. You are no more. Then you are everything!It is just a process that is everflowing.So Be It!

Living from the Inside Out

In the west we live from the outside in! We believe that what is outside of us is more important and valuable than what is within. In the East they live from the inside out. The spiritual traditions of Asia teach the importance of this life viewpoint. What you are and what is within caerries all the seeds of what you manifest in life. If your manifestation emanates from that deep spring within, it carries a sense of aliveness and joy that cannot be found outside yourself. It is the beingness and transcendant place of joy, love , compassion, and equanimity the buddhists call four immeasurables!
If we in the west can embrace this view wholeheartedly, our current seeming crisis will not endure long! It will transmute into the greatest experience of joy and freedom humanity has ever known! Without this view, it will rob us of the last bit of humanity and divinity left. This is our cross, Let us take it up and pass thru to the ressurection of the deathless within us! So Be It!

Between Attachment and Resistance

Between attachment and resistance somewhere lies the middle way. This is a place where no attachment or resistance can reside. It naturally can only be this way. It is the Way, the place where life flows eternally. It is the Tao. It is there within us at all times. It naturally can only be this way for without it Life would cease to exists. It is not a question of existence, but a question of alignment with it!Close your eyes and calm your mind and spirit! It is there if you can be aware!

Creating Good Karma

When things in Life get tough, as many are experiencing now in today's economic crisis, most of us get very protective and defensive out of fear of loss. This to some degree is a natural reaction from the part of our psyche that is focused on self preservation. For those who can see a little deeper into it though, these challenges create an opportunity to create very good karma. If we can embrace the difficulties with compassion, and increase our dedication to giving and charity because of the new reality of need in society, our past negative karma can be clensed and a new realm of blessed energy can emerge from within the soul. If when we normally should be contracting and selfish, we give even more, that giving is especially profound and powerful. Look at the life of Jesus. When confronted with the cross he gave his last flesh, tears and blood not only for himself, but for all of humamity. This opened a most powerful portal of spiritual blessing and salvation for all to go through in the future. Please remember, we can also do these kind of great things as well. Even Jesus predicted that we would do greater things than he. Now is the time to make that a reality in this world!!!

The Haves and The Have Nots

Up until this age the world has always had the Haves and the Have Nots. Although this is a very real economic reality throughout history and in our current state of affairs today, it is also to some degree a matter of mentality or perspective. The basic cause of this distorted view is the economic concept of scarcity. If we believe that the resources available to support ourselves and families are scarce, then we then try to compete with each other for these resources. This creates a basic notion of competition, comparison and hoarding . When the so-called Haves hoard wealth and possessions, they create an imbalance in what is available. Ultimately, this imbalance cannot be sustained for long and the whole system is doomed to collapse, which we have just seen for the first time on a global scale.
I hereby declare as of this moment an end to this Have / Have not mentality based on scarcity, and proclaim a new age based on the idea of All Have which is founded on the reality of abundance. Life is alive and abundant. It is not a collection of separate things, but an interdependent living organism that includes all human beings. As this New Age emerges we will begin to see the end of the scarcity consciousness and the beginning of the age of abundance.Let It Be!

Rites of Passage

All of us go through challenges and trials in and throughout our journey in life. When one begins a new phase of it, it is important to remember that these things are rites of passage and necessary to cleanse the karmic baggage of our past lives. These rites of passage can then be viewed as opportunities to grow and be liberated from the bonds of samsaric consciousness which keep us locked in hell.Life has given us all tremendous freedom and potential. Freedom of thought, speech, and action. What we do with these gifts depends heavily on the perspective or viewpoint we enter into when we think, speak, or act. This perspective is a direct result of our level of consciousness which can be either samsaric (dualistic) or nirvanic (unitive). Dualistic consciousness creates a world of hell for our experience and unitive consciousness creates heaven for us. It is our free choice. Hell is not where God sends you when you die! It is where you wind up if you have created it in your own experience and existence while you are alive. Heaven has given us the tools for our own salvation, but it is up to us to use them or not! This is our great blessing and ultimate responsibility, to choose heaven or hell. May the light of love and compassion lead you on your journey!!!

Building Tombs of Pleasure

For most of us who live in samsara ( dualistic consciousness ) the pursuit of pleasure and the avoidance of pain is central to our existence. Somehow we mistakenly believe that it is possible. We believe that if we try hard enough, or if we have enough money, we can eliminate pain and live totally emersed in pleasure, sipping mai tai's on a beach in the Carribean, or any other fantasy that our samsaric minds can conjure up. Unfortunately, this is pure illusion! It is in essence building a tomb for ourselves. It is like a kind of psychological prison that makes the fulfillment of this illusion our master and our consciousness a slave to the almighty god of pleasure and leisure. As someone who has work with, and known many rich people as clients and friends, their lives are anything but happy. The bigger and more complex their lives become in this endless pursuit, the grander and more difficult a tomb or prison they create.Real happiness and freedom become impossible in this lifetime and have to wait until a future life.

The Process of Conscious Awakening

All of us, whether we realize it or not are being awakened by Life. It is a spiritual process that cannot be accomplished by our limited mind and effort alone. The majority of the work is done by Life itself as it leads us on a path of awakening and clensing. We all have emotonal resistance not only to the current moment, but lodged in our psyche from past resistance in this life as well as past lives. This material all must come out of the unconscious mind and be brought into awareness. Otherwise, it will remain stuck in our unconscious mind and cause blockage between our conscious mind and our soul essence. When these challenges emerge from our unconscious mind, it presents us with both opportunity and challenge. If we can open our hearts and embrace that energy, we can remove the blockage and realize a deeper level of awakening. If however, we resist and close down, that energy may take us into further unconscious spiritual slumber which is not a pretty place to be. Sometmes it is necessary to be pulled down in order to be awakened to ultimate reality. This trip into the valley is called purgation. Even if this happens to you, have courage and use it for your further awakening and growth. Nothing is ever lost when you bring it back to the path!

The Futility of Resistance

When we experience resistance to what may be happening to us currently, we usually do so out of fear and insecurity. It arises out of a deep seeded distrust of Life. This distrust originates from our spiritual slumber cause by the thinking mind and unconscious mind. The irony is that the very sense of trust and security we are looking to hold on to through our resistance. can only be realized when we surrender to life and give up resistance. Therefore resistance is basically insane. Life including each human being is one organic whole and ultimately cannot be resisted in any real sense or way. Resistance is just an illusory self defense or delusion.

The Purpose of Life

The majority of humanity believes that the purpose of life is the pursuit of happiness. This then manifests in a wide variety of activities and pursuits that are driven by that persons definition of happiness. Some doggedly pursue money in an effort to buy their way to fulfillment. Others may have more lofty definitions which are related to helping others in different and unique ways. And for others, power and prestige are their view of the ultimate. However, whatever pleasure or limited happiness that may be derived from these pursuits will wither away when the body, mind and ego disappear at death. From my view the purpose of life is happiness, however I differ as to how it is attained or realized. If happiness is pursued or gotten through dualistic activity, it is but a small echo of the real non-dual happiness that is available to all of us that is hidden deep within ourselves.
Here is my definition of true happiness. To become aware of our deeper soul essence, and to nurture it's growth and flowering until we realize our own divinity which is the source of eternal happiness. True happiness is realized as we transcend all duality and attachment to things, and realize who we are at our core! This is why whenever we experience some kind of loss or tragedy in life, underneath that surface experience lies an enegry and experience of boudless peace and joy which has no cause in the manifested world. Ah, the peace of God!It is omnipresent.

The Tip of Your Nose

The Source is as close to you as the tip of your nose. It is just as natural for human beings to be connected to the Source, as is it for the Sun to rise every morning! Don't try to find that connection by searching outside yourself. Instead, focus on removing the barriers and blockages that have cut you off from that connection. These blockages are caused by tension, stress, and negative emotions which prevent that energy from flowing naturally in and through you at all times. This is why it is so important and essential to exercise, meditate, and practice some form of spiritual bodywork ( yoga, tai chi, kigong, reiki etc. ) When these things become a natural part of your everyday routine and practice, you will see and feel the Source close by both within and without. Your world then becomes a divine sea of Ki life energy to swim and play in!

Instruments of Spirit

We are all born with manys gifts that can take a lifetime to develop full awareness of. These are the gifts of body, mind, soul, and spirit. They are not in our sole possesion, but are instruments of the Great Spirit as the native americans call it. This is why Saint Francis of Assis prayed " Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace". We are spiritual beings in a material world so goes the song by Sting. To allow that to manifest fully, our body mind and soul must vibrate and resonate at a similar frequency as that Great Spirit ( Tao ) does. Our whole spiritual life focus should then be centered on fine tuning that vibration. Each day and moment is then an opportunity to move closer to that resonance, or move further away. Ask yourself every day " Are my thoughts, emotions, and deeds bringing me closer, or creating more distance from that reality". Ah, the razors edge!

The Cure

The fundamental afflication of humanity is samsaric consciousness created by the illusion of separation and ego identification. This gives rise to all illness, misery, and suffering on the planet at all levels. The cure or medicine for this insidious malady is meditation. This includes sitting meditation, moving meditation ( yoga, tai chi, kigong, and other forms of conscious excersise), and active meditation ( dynamic, kundalini, gourishinkar, and others). When meditating, imagine that you are treating yourself and your fundamental illness with the most profound and natural medicine available in the world. It is Life's prescription for you at no charge.It also works on every level of your being ( physical, mental, emotional, astral, spiritual, and akashic ) What more could you ask for from a medicine! It is Life's gift. Use it well and daily. Over time see how much of a profound impact it can have on you.

The Three Basic Minds

As Life has created each of us, we all have three minds. The first and most recognized is the center in the physical head where we create ideation, intuition, and intention. This is our guiding or directive energy of thought. The second mind, which is located in the heart area is our emotional center and emotional intelligence. Through interaction with the first and third minds we experience love, compassion and other emotions. The third mind which is located in the abdominal area, is our fundamental energy center , which also has its own intelligence. We experience this throughout our lives as a gut feeling or foresight. Understanding, managing, and balancing these three centers or minds is the great, mysterious challenge of living Life. When they are in conflict, or are out of balance, we suffer. This suffering is not necessarily a bad thing. Many times it is Life's way of letting us know where we are unbalanced, and acts as a tool of our awakening out of unconsciousness. We aso have three basic types of Ki (life energy) that relate to these minds. Jungki (pro-creative), Ki(vital), and Shinki(directive or intention)are these energies. Jungki is centered in the sexual center, Vitalki is in the kidneys, and Shinki in the mind and heart center.When you master these minds and energy centers,you become a master of Life itself.

True Heart and the Ego

Where there is true heart and compassion, there can be no ego. Where there is ego, there can be no true heart. They cannot exist in the same place or space. They are like water and oil. They don't mix at all. Becoming egoless as a goal or focus on the spiritual path is not attained or realized by fighting or negating the ego. It is realized through the realization and practice of true love and compassion. The ego will naturally diminish in that environment and energy. True love comes from and is connected to the Source. Ego is just a manifested form that originates in the mind and thinking. It serves a certain function in relating to others and the rest of the manifested world. However, it is not who you are at the deepest level. This forgetting and substituting of ego as our fundamental identity is called ignorance and spiritual slumber. We should awaken out of this unconsciousness to realize our true nature and identity as a buddha!

Do Not Fear Emptiness

Do not fear death or emptiness. It is the birthplace of Life and fullness! When you fear the unknown, that fear prevents you from knowing and experiencing the great mystery of Life itself. To know takes courage and commitment to explore beyond your current mindset and consciousness. At death you have the greatest opportunity to know and become aware of your deepest self. What a blessing death is then. It is a portal to greater conscious awareness. Let it lead you to the Source!

White Canvas

Every day when you wake, imagine in your minds eye a big blank white canvas. This represents your opportunity to start every day afresh and new, and participate with life in the co-creation of your journey. Even though we bring our past with us into each day and every moment, we do not have to allow it to be a hindrance or barrier to the infinite possibilities that Life gives to us. Life is not what happens to us or what we believe in, it is the white canvas that is given to us all in each and every moment, or should I say in the One Eternal Moment that is!As such, we have a choice as to how we use, waste, or abuse this precious gift. If you want happiness, then create happiness. If you want love, then create love. And if you want peace, then create it. You have that power and potential within yourself. You don't have to wait for someone to give it to you. If you wait for it to come, it is like watching the kettle boil. Waiting also becomes the breeding ground for resentment and an emerging victim mentality or identity. If this is where you wind up, only you can liberate yourself from that hell. Life will help you out of it and open the door to your freedom, however you have to walk through the door to make it to the other side!

Judging Yourself

Be careful not to judge your thoughts or actions! Simply be fully awake and aware of them as you allow life to flow within you and without you. We are trained from a young age to live by a standard of conduct imposed on us by religion and society in general. This standard then becomes the basis for the "Judge" to emerge from within our personality. If left un challenged or unrecognized, this can be very destructive to your heart and spirit. Allow your "self" to be as you are and let awareness guide your growth. It is okay to make mistakes and go astray because through those experiences we learn and grow. Judgement will paralize and cripple that growth. This is why Jesus said " Do not judge ". Darkness is there to ultimately allow your divine light to emerge. So Be It!

The Purpose of the Guru or Master

When walking on the spiritual path you will enevitably meet a master or guru. This can have a powerful effect on you and your growth spiritually. The core of that relationship, should it develope, is love and devotion. If you can make a strong connection of heart ( Shimjung in Korean terms ) you will learn and inherit much blessing from them. However, this love is not of this world, and should not result in dependence on the master. The Master does not need your love and devotion! You as well should love him/her without ego attachment. This is your challenge. Ultimately they are there to teach you how to love yourself at the essential level. By bringing your awareness to the deepest aspects of your being ( buddha nature ), you should practice the same love and devotion to your own divinity as you do towards them. At some point they will disappear when the time is right!

The Ego Capsule

Most of humanity lives within their limited mind & egoic consciousness . This is called the ego capsule. Their life energy system is closed and encapsulated mostly within themselves. It is therefore very difficult for them to feel a real connection to life at its source . It is a kind of contraction of the meridian system based on fear and anxiety both conscious & unconscious ! A small minority however have been able through different practices and experiences to open themselves up to both cosmic and earth energy and establish a growing connection to the promordial source or tao energy. I call this Immortal Vitality Energy Practice ! It can have a very profound effect on every aspect of human life ( physical, mental, emotional & spiritual ) and can help anyone reach their highest potential . Although still a very small minority , the numbers of people now experiencing this are growing as never before in human history. This is the base of the revolution in consciousness that began in the sixties and continues today to spread all over the world ! May you all find your original connection to this energy that transcends the material plane and begin to understand and realize that new consciousness !!!!!

The Path of Consciousness

In each lifetime we go through stages on our path . It begins with "I Need " , then " I Want " , then " I want to Become " , then " I Am " , then " AM " , then " IS " , then " ISNESS ". A beautiful analogy to these stages would to liken them to the flow of water from the single drop to a creek and stream to a small river then a large river finally arriving in the ocean!!! At the stage of " ISNESS " the "I" is no more. This is samadhi !!! The illusion of separateness dissolves !

Does God Really Exist ?

Before this question can be attempted to be answered, We must first define the term " to exist ". In the dictionary the word exist means to stand out or apart from . In other words to be an objective thing ! If God were an objective thing , He/ She would have been found long ago. In the Eastern view God is the non-dual basis for all existence . In other words the unmanifested ground for everything else or all things to exist. This means that God does not exist in the same way that the manifested world does. Another more accurate way to put it would be that God Is ! This Isness is the basis for all forms to exist without which existence would not be possible . It also means that God is nowhere to be found yet is within and contains all the manifested universe.To tradtional logical thinking this is quite paradoxical , yet it is true . If there were no God, nothing could possibly exist !

In God's Presence

Many believe that sometime in the future when they die and go to the afterlife , they will come before God and be in His presence to receive blessing or judgement according to their deeds in life. If this is the case then it could be a wonderful or fearful experience. Let me share another perspective on this . God or Tao or whatever name you want to express it as is not to be found in the future or exclusively in the afterlife. God is here and now , omnipresent !!! He/She/It is the basis of existence and within all the manifested and unmanifested universe. The question is not where is God . The question is are we attuned to the reality of His/Her/Its Presence or are we lost in the dream of egoic consciousness which prevents us from seeing reality as it is ?
If this is the case then why don't we try imagining that we are always in God's presence in this moment !

Eternal Impermanence

Eternal Impermanance sounds like a huge contradiction. How can something be both eternal and impermanent at the same time ? However this is the case with life. It is the great paradox . The permanent nature of life and existence is to exist in a state of change and impermanence. Nothing which has been born or created stays the same . It is a flow of constant change which has always been and will always be. If we look a little deeper at the nature of life as well we can see that beyond the veil of all these changing forms is an eternal base or ground that all forms come out of and return to . This is consciousness itself . If there were no eternal ground or base , there could also be no life as well . If there was no space , no form could arise in that space.
Unfortunately most of humanity is unaware of these realities and lives, out of a sense of fear, in resistance to that flow of life seeking security and happiness in some state of fixed reality. When that resistance to the flow of life arises , suffering is created. This is why Buddha said life is suffering and the way through that suffering is to align oneself with the "suchness of life" . If we can align ourselves is this way we can find our inherent happiness and bliss and see the eternity beyond the impermanence!!!

Well Being

For most people in the world , well being is an essential goal or objective in life ! However, first we must understand that there are two kinds of well being . They are circumstantial well being and transcendent well being. The first type , circumstantial , is dependent totally upon ones external circumstance or condition. When all is well with your life on an external level , there is a sense of well being or happiness that seems to be . However if one or many aspects of those conditions or circumstances go wrong in some way, that sense of well being can and will evaporate quickly. If this is the case , most will try desperately to fix those circumstances as quickly as possible in an effort to restore that sense of well being . That seems to be the most rational approach . However, if one is successful in getting back to that place , it again can be easily lost if circumstances change again , which is highly likely. Such is the nature of life!
The second type of well being , transcendent , can be found when one uses the difficult conditions or circumstances to look more deeply into ones inner spiritual dimension , and through that connect directly to the source of life itself. When one can start to realize that connection , even in the midst of difficulty a sense of peace and well being will still be felt as an underlying presence. This is transcendent well being. It is a state of freedom and peace that has no opposite!!!
This reminds me of the story of the old Indian sage who was sitting under a tree with a big smile on his face on the day of his death . Many came to him and said how can you be happy and smiling even on the day of your death ? You have always been happy throughout your whole life as well . We want to know your secret. His was response was very simple . He said " No matter what happens , I give it no mind ".
At that point he died a peaceful death with a big smile on his face !!!!
In conclusion , we all face difficulties in life at some time or another . When this happens , it is important to know that we have choices in how we approach dealing with those difficulties. If you limit yourself to purely circumstantial solutions, you will go on playing that game time and time again until the ultimate difficulty arise , which is death . Or you can take the transcendent approach , even though it may be much more difficult , and begin the process of eternal well being and life that emanates from the Source within you!!!

The Spiritual Path

Life on the path is not always bliss , peace , and fulfillment ! As long as we carry unrecognized unconscious material within , we will eventually wind up in circumstances that force it to come out ! This is part of the purgation process as the light of heaven reveals in pure clarity what remains to be worked through . From the ego's perspective it looks like and feels like being in hell ! From the higher view it is a necessary part of the clensing process and ultimately a true blessing !!! It is the only way to reach freedom and permanet bliss beyond the greed for heaven and the fear of hell !!! The only path then is through !

Only Love Remains

When all aspects of this life inevitably crumble and melt into the void , all that remains is reality itself ! And what is that reality ? It is nothing other than Love. When you truly Love , you connect to that ultimate reality and become one with your own essential nature which lives eternally in that love ! So let go of all thoughts , emotions , and things that prevent you from realizing the eternal Love that you are and that you were born from! Be totally here and let the eternity blossom from the depths of your heart and soul !!!

Karmic Cleansing

The true purpose of our inner work and practice is to cleanse all our karma from past thoughts , actions , and lives which keep us bound to samsara ( dualistic consciousness )! Through this process of cleansing we can open a way out of this bondage into the true and eternal freedom of nirvana ( unitive consciousness )! The direct and most powerful way to cleanse is by meeting each life situation with joy and compassion , no matter how challenging or difficult the circumstance , and emanating that energy !!! Another equally important factor in this process is the motive or intent by which we practice . When our motives are limited to the little me , our results will be limited as well. When we practice not only for ourselves but for the higher self and collective human consciousness , our results will be boundless and unlimited . So when we rejoice or we suffer , do so together with all humanity . That way your joy and compassion will grow and be strong , and your power of emanation will burn up all karmic blockages. As these blockages are released heaven's freedom will descend upon you !!!

The Tao of Male / Female Relationships

Man's dominant energy is yang ( aggressive , assertive , active ) while woman's is yin ( passive , receptive , responsive ). However each has the seed of the opposite energy, otherwise life could not flow or function in harmony and balance! If man is always dominant , the woman's yang will feel suffocated and repressed . If the woman is always dominant , the man's yang will feel weak and impotent ! If the man's yang energy is balanced an in alignment with heaven , the woman's yin should function in harmony and beauty. If the man's yang is not aligned however , the woman's yang will naturally activate and create resistence. This then becomes the basis for conflict ! If both have realized the balance of yin/yang within themselves , their relations with others will be balanced and harmonious as well . Therefore imbalance within manifests as disharmony and conflict without ! This also applies to heaven and earth energy as well. The supreme purpose of humanity is to balance heaven's energy and earth's energy centered on heart ( shimjung ) ! When this happens the flowering of the soul essence can be realized and manifest !!!

Domestic Relations

Almost all romantic relationships have moments of great joy as well as moments of difficulty and conflict ! Most start with a spark of love fever and slowly develop over time into ego based co-dependency ! This eventually leads to divorce or to something worse , ego love prison , where both are very unhappy but afraid to leave out of fear of loss. However , even this kind of situation can be turned into a great blessing if one or both partners realize that life is a great Love workshop! In other words , they turn their relationship into a spiritual practice ( darshan ) by learning the art of spiritual alchemy. This is done by cleansing and purifying the neediness or dependency out of the love! To love is our nature and birthright! To love purely and unconditionally is what makes us divine ! When you can love the other with no agenda or outcome in mind , with no attachment to the result , heaven will descend and emerge through your heart chakra turning your love into a great awakening of divine bliss and serenity !!! Your partner becomes your portal into your soul and vice versa ! So no matter how hard or painful it may seem , cherish them from this perspective !

A Momentary Glance

With one brief glance accross the table yesterday , I could see and feel the love from my beloved !!! I knew immediately of our profound heart connection and realized that this is all I need . That one momentary glance from her deep and precious eyes gave me a sense of complete satisfaction and serenity ! Anything thing more is just a great blessing from heaven ! I am fulfilled !!!

The Nature of Your Work

What is the nature of your work and where is it's focus ! Our first three chakras represent survival , pleasure , and accomplishment or power ! Most of humanity is focused on working with this focus , especially survival and pleasure . The higher chakras ( heart , throat , third eye , and crown ) represent our spiritual life and aspirations . The heart is focused on love , kindness , and compassion , the throat creative expression , the third eye clairvoyance and intuition , and the crown awakening and connection to the higher self! If your work can be centered in one or all of the higher chakras , it becomes sacred work !!! Sacred work has a greater purpose and higher vibration than the baseline ego centered survival/pleasure game that most of us play ! Through trusting life more deeply , you have the potential to transform and experience the profound bliss and deep compassion of sacred work . Every word and action then becomes a portal through which life can reveal the divine nature of existence ! As St. Francis prayed " Lord make me an instrument of Thy Peace " . This work is within reach of all of us !!!

The Great Let Go !

Spiritual awakening is all about letting go or divesting ourselves of the things that keep our consciousness bound to the world of form! These are material things , mental concepts and fixed positions , emotional dependencies or attachments , and self images based on the psuedo self or ego and its idealized version of itself ! From societies normal perspective letting go means losing something or giving up , and is not regarded with positive connotations ! However, this process is based on the realiztion that letting go is not losing ! Letting go is a sort of cleansing of illusory thinking and perception ! In other words by letting go , that which is real is never lost and that which is not can be freed from our consciousness so that we can see life as it is in crystal clarity ! The resulting freedom that arises through this process becomes the ground or space through which nirvana is realized ! The transition from samsara to nirvana can only travel through this narrow path . Once you are on this sacred path , don't look back ! There is nothing but illusion back there !!!

Have You Had Enough ?

Only when you have had enough , can you realize you are buddha ! Buddha is not looking for something ! Buddha is not fulfilling some dream or desire ! Buddha is not lacking for anything , therefore he/she needs nothing ! Buddha is reality in all its splendor and completeness !!! Rest in that place of abundance where all of life is available and manifesting through your soul essence ! This is where you and the transcendant peace of buddha meet forever ! It is the only eternal reality and you are that !!!

The Basis of Life

On what basis do you create your life ? Or, in other words , what voice do you listen to , your ego mind or your soul essence ? We are all co-creators of our eternal life ! If we are not successful in this life , we will return in another to continue on the path to eternity! What we create based on ego is impermanent and will never last ! What we create through our soul is eternal and can never be destroyed ! It sounds so simple ! Just listen to the inner voice of the soul and we will find our true way ! In reality it is not that easy ! We must first recognize the difference between ego and soul ! In other words we must wake up to our real identity at the soul level. It is a kind of refinement or sifting. This sifting process is almost impossible without meditation. Through meditation we can separate and clense our mind and consciousness so that our true reality can emerge! Without it the ego basically remains in control as the master !

Posessiveness

Posessiveness is the real heart of the disfunction of humanity ! We are constantly trying to posess the different things in our life , money , material goods , people , concepts etc. in an effort to alleviate our basic sense of insecurity . This insecurity comes from being identified with the ego whom we mistake for who we are! The ego knows that it is subject to the birth and death of the life form . The ego based society is then functioning from a sense of lack or inadequacy. That forms the basis for the competitive " dog eat dog " society we all live in !When we know our deeper reality and soul essence , we know that life is one and eternal ! This oneness forms the basis of a sense of abundance which then translates into sharing , giving , and cooperation !!! That is why all the great spiritual traditions have taught non-attachment and charity as an antidote for this disfunctional ego posessiveness !!! When you give and let go with no agenda or attachment , you begin to feel a deeper sense of peace and oneness with life in your inner being. As you go deeper into it , you eventually reach the Joy and Bliss of Being , which is beyond form and circumstance . When you posess nothing , you have everything ! That is the basic dialectic of life !!!

For Whom do You Cry ?

When you cry , ask yourself this question ! Am I crying for myself or am I crying for others ! The tears shed for the self are the tears of the ego , and the tears shed for others are the tears of your eternal essence and soul. When you cry for yourself you can connect that energy to the soul level by realizing that your own suffering can be a bridge to help understand the suffering of others ! This will help you develope deeper compassion and soul energy !!! When you cry for others out of deep compassion , a deep clensing of your own karma will help you grow and be liberated from future suffering ! So your tears are a very precious thing! Cherish them!!!

Living in the Eternal Moment

We are all living in one eternal moment ! Within that moment its form is constantly changing and manifesting in a beautiful variety of ways! However, it is not totally predestined from heaven! Life allows us all the freedom and responsibilty to be co-creators of the changing manifestation! In that way your emanation is like sitting on the razors edge. It can manifeat as unconscious ego thouht or behavior , or it can manifest as a real emanation of your heart and soul , which is buddha nature!There is no middle ground or category possible ! So one question to frequently reflect on is this . What kind of energy am I manifesting now , ego or buddha? This is the key to begin to recognize who you truly are!!!!

Non-forgiveness

Non-forgiveness both of ourselves and others keeps us trapped in ego consciousness! Forgiveness on the other hand takes yur energy and consciousness directly to your buddha nature that exists deep within your soul! Let's face it life is not perfect nor was it ever meant to be! We are all subject to mistakes , mishaps and difficulties fronm time to time! If we get stuck in the victim identity or obsessed with the blame game, we make a temporary situation of unconscious behavior or thought ,become sticky and linger much longer than necessary! Difficulties arise so that our soul may learn and grow brighter and stronger! Life gives us these temporary impasses out of love and compassion , not as a punishment of some sort. After going through these difficulties , there will come a time to forgive and move on!This will probably be a time of many tears , however those tears are essential to cleanse the karma associated with the difficulty and grow to the next stage! As you learn to forgive , the compassion of your true buddha nature will grow and bless you whole being! This was one of the most profound secrets of Jesus life ! So Be That !!!

Marriage

Marriage is about a loving committment and devotion to the partner based on compassion ! It is about a shared vision of life and a unity of consciousness! It is the basis for each of us to become engaged in the most beautiful aspect of life , the creation of another human being !!! Through this process life allows us to participate in the miracle of giving birth to a newborn child and thus experience ourselves as co-creators ! What a tremendous joy and blessing ! Our bodies , minds , hearts , and spirits are the vehicle through which life itself works its magic!!!When you experience this deep realization , there can be no doubt that we are all one! We are Life itself !!! As the buddha said there is no separate self! There is no my life ! Marriage is the life workshop where we learn love , compassion , and the unity of all creation as one cosmic symphony !!! Although we may play different instruments in the orchestra of life , the focus and purpose is on the creation and enjoyment of the music !!!

Finding our Common Center

When one moves from the periphery & circumstantial reality of their ego based life story , and moves to the center or real soul based reality , they are moving to a common ground with others . Your center is not your own ! It is what Carl Jung called " collective consciousness " . The tool or means to make this inward journey is meditation in all it's various forms or practices ! This includes "zazen" just sitting , mantra , yantra , as well as moving meditations like yogassanna , tai chi , & kigong ! The center is like the deep part of the ocean , peaceful and still! The periphery is like the waves or ripples on the surface. When you reach the depths of meditation , you naturally feel a sense of connectness with others that is non-conceptual! In other words you are not trying to become one with others based on a concept or teaching. You are experiencing the reality of immersion in our common center ! Therefore so called spiritual awakening or advancement doesn't create a sense of superiority or distance . Just the opposite is true ! A real sense of closeness and unitive consciousness is the natural by product of moving to our common center !!!

Caring vs. Worrying

To some caring and worrying are the same thing . However , this is not the case from my viewpoint ! They have a totally different energy about them . When you are aligned with life and universal life energy, it is natural to feel care and concern for others out of a sense of the interconnectedness of all things & people. Worry on the other hand generally originates out of a concern for the self as a separate entity or consciousness , which is illusion fundamentally. Worry is an emanation of a fundamntal lack of trust or faith in life , because of the perceived separateness of the ego! It is characterized by anxiousness , unease , and sometimes anxiety or panic ! Concern & care arise out of compassion for the other !!! Do not confuse a lack of worry with a lack of caring ! They are fundamentally different ! In a real sense a true lack of worry is an emanation of a profound trust and faith in Life , because we are all one Life!!!

Being Agnostic

There is a certain aspect of agnostiscism that is essential to be human . A true agnostic is open to all the possibilties of life ! They are not stuck in potentially limited viewpoints or concepts . They are not attached to dogmas or traditions that imprison their consciousness and diminish their perception of reality ! When we are to too certain about life , we may just be trying to compensate for our fear of the unknown .We may be looking to appease the uneasiness and anxiety we create by our mental fixation on the future , which is just an illusion ! There are no guarantees in this world . Only that our form is impermanent and will eventually return to mother earth from where it came . So embrace the unknown and the idea of not knowing . Embrace the impermanance . Life may then embrace you back with peace and bliss of the joy of being !!!

My Beloved

Whenever we are together it is as if the spring has just blossomed in my heart. When you speak , the sound of your voice goes right to the bottom of my soul and vibrates there in ecstatic bliss . When I see your face , it is as if the face of the divine is looking at me , and when you smile it is as if heaven has opened up and is shining down on my whole being with the radiant splendor of a million suns!!!
You are my beloved ! I love you with every part of my heart and soul and every ounce of my being ! I don't understand why , but heaven has blessed my life with the grace of your presence ! Each day and every moment we have together is like an eternal and unforgetable memory burned into the very fabric of my soul! And although we may never truly be together as one flesh , we are already completely one in our soul essence!!! I will cherish forever each smile , every smell , the sound of your laughter and your gentle loving embrace as our journey together unfolds in all its mystery and majesty !!!

Sobul's mission is simple . To help cure humanity of the disease of ego disfunction , and allow the divine soul essence of each human being to be recognized and blossom !!! It is this disfunction that causes the ego to create a psuedo self image and identity , and place itself in the center of the human mind and consciousness. This then obscures awareness of the true essential nature and identity at the real human center which is the soul ! Each one of us has an external form , including thoughts and emotions , and an internal character or essence which is invisible !This is called our buddha nature which is inherent in each person . Let Your Being Shine Forth

Every moment , which is always now the one eternal moment , we can consciously choose to live in the dream of the mind based ego drama , or we can allow our inner being to shine forth from the depths of our soul essence. In reality it is in no one's hands except our own , what we choose to emanate , heaven or hell ! If you feel trapped in misery or suffering , know that the inner power of your being is stronger than any darkness that the ego can muster. It is kind of like ice . It seems so hard and solid at first , however with the shining brilliance of your soul essence that ice will be melted down into a pool of beautiful water and the warmth and radiance of life will shine forth like a thousand stars from within! So let that shine forth now !!!!

Heaven is not Far

Most of us think of heaven as a far off place where we go after we die . We think of it as some kind of reward for good behavior or for our faith in this life . However , heaven is really not so far away as that ! Heaven resides in the center of your being ! It dwells in the bottom of your soul and the souls of all human beings!And how could it be otherwise ?
Each one of us has the ability to access that divine dimension within us. Unfortunately because of our spiritual slumber , and our addiction to living based on a psuedo self called ego , it goes along as a relatively unknown part of life where we only occasionally see it surface. However , if you are very attentative and know where to look , it will unveil itself in all its beauty and splendor right before your eyes. When we put aside our ego dramas and live from the genuine depth of our soul , by allowing that to come forth and blossom , heaven will manifest in your life and spread accross the face of the earth like a gentle breeze of the most fragrant perfume !!! It will raise you up to a place of the greatest joy and bliss that is beyond your wildest imaginination ! Fortunately for humanity , that day is soon at hand ! Be part of it !!!

The Hands & the Penis

The hands and the penis ,for males, & vagina for females, are just tools of, and connected to the heart! Through these primary tools we are given the chance to express our divinity, or to express our disfunctional, ego based ,unconscious mind! On the surface they seem totally unrelated , however the connection is important to realize on the spiritual path ! Untold misery can be created and manifested through them . as well as untold bliss and joy ! When you are rooted in the joy of being and connected to your soul essence , they will naturally function as the divine instruments of their original purpose of creation ! As such they are a very sacred place where heaven resides . The same hand that prays for humanity,however , can also strike out in anger , and the same penis that loves with unconditional compassion the beloved , can rape in a massive , destructive , domination of the partner! Please treat these tools with the utmost respect and reverance when you choose to use them !!!

Descarte

When the french philospher Descarte wrote " I think therefore I am ' he basically got it ass backwards from my perspective . From my view it should be " I am therefore I can use thinking to to manage my life affairs , or I can choose to rise above thought and rest in a place beyond thinking , A place of pure conscious awareness which is the ground of primordial purity from which all thought and manifestation arise ". Thinking arises from being ! Not the other way around!

Letting Time Slip Away

As you let time slip away , you let go of the illusion of time and slip into the timeless dimension of eternity , which is now. In that dimension you may find that it is not empty or void , but fully pregnant with all the potentiality of creation . It is from this source all manifestation arises ! It is from here all peace originates ! It is from here all joy and bliss emanates ! It is here that you are yourself in all original purity. It is here that you connect to the eternal !!!
A place of no fear , doubt or distress ! So Be It !!!

Nothing Sticky

Real pure heavenly love is not sticky ! It has no other agenda than to love the other unconditionally ! The are no strings attached , no hidden agendas or posessiveness to it . When you give freely from this place , you give with your whole being and then drop the memory of your giving ! It is based in the reality that we are all one life without any separate , or ego consciousness. In a way when you give to so called others, you are really giving to yourself as well ! When you see the suffering of others , you feel it as your own as well ! This is the basis of compassion and the way of the boddhisatva !!!

Only the Ego Suffers

Only the ego suffers ! Your soul essence is made of love and bliss ! Although it can experience longing or missing along with a full range of positive emotions, it cannot experience psychological suffering. When you think that you are suffering deep emotional trauma such as loneliness , bitterness , hatred , anxiety , etc. , this is not coming from your real self . It is coming from your identification with the ego, which is not personal. It is a collective phenomena of all humanity ! It functions exactly the same in all human beings ! So when you feel it suffer within your being , rejoice as this is the pain of disidentification from the addiction to egoic consciousness . It is almost like coming clean off of heroine or some other chemical intoxicant. Just on the other side of the tremendous pain is the peace and joy of being as you can finally realize who you truly are at your soul essence ! So try your best to embrace this pain , which will start the alchemical process of transmuting that suffering into spiritual food for your awakening and liberation !

Realm of the Heart lll

This morning our master called again from Korea . He asked if my wife's heart was okay or not ! My wife at the time was on an airplane to california to visit her niece . I told master Khan that as far as I knew she was okay, that I had no knowledge of any problem with her heart ! After hanging up the phone with him ,five minutes later, my wife called me from her stopover in Phoenix AZ. She said that about 30 minutes earlier she had had heart palpitations and a racing pulse , but that she was fine after she rested and meditated a bit ! Once again there is no time and space in the realm of the heart !!!

Disillusion

The need for disillusionment is created by the fact that our minds are always creating an illusory or psuedo self ! It is much easier and safer to live in the mind based egoic consciousness than it is to live genuinely from the reality of our heart and soul , or so it seems to the ego! It takes tremendous courage to awaken our deepest essence or real self and allow it to blossom fully! The only way out of the self imposed prison of the mind is to have the illusions disolve so there is nothing left but the bare naked truth of who we are ! So when disillusionment visits you , rejoice the fact that reality it not far away, and that life is waking you up to your true soul essence !!!

Sobul's Creed

Eternal Life Energy

Science has proven that energy cannot be destroyed ! It only changes the way it is manifested ! We can also see that at our very core or essence , we are soul energy beyond all illusory identifications with form ! The reality of eternal life is therefore not simply a matter of religious faith ! It is a fact of existence and reality ! The question is not whether eternal life is true , it is whether you realize it or not! Eventually you will know it in the core of your being ! That will be the day of your liberation !!!!

Our Journey Home

From the moment of our birth we are on a rendevous with death at some point ! We don't know when that meeting will take place , only that it is inevitable! So what is the whole reason or purpose for this journey , if it inevitably brings us back to where we started , back to the realm of the unmanifested ? This question has been pondered throughout the ages . In my view there is only one simple answer . We take this journey lifetime after lifetime , circumstance after circumstance , for our soul essence to blossom into complete wisdom and creativity. At the point of this extraordinary soul realization , we can then choose to rest or return to help other soul's on the same journey. That return is called the way of compassion or the way of the boddhisatva !

Realm of the Heart cont'

Today it happened again ! I was thinking about a friend who is suffering and needing time and space to heal ! I thought to myself even if I never speak or hear from them again for the rest of my life I will send them healing energy every day until I die ! I then began to weep uncontrolably as I was driving to the store . At that moment they called and told me not to worry , that they would be okay !!! My heart was releived and lifted in that eternal moment of heart!

The Realm of Heart

On monday this week our master flew back to his homeland of Korea ! As we said our final goodbye's and he walked thru the security gate to board his plane , we all started to weep uncontolably . He then waved a final farwell and disappeared into the plane boarding area ! At that moment I felt my heart chakra open like it had never before and the energy of deep compassion flowing powerfully thru me! I felt him totally enter the depths of my being and rest there!
The next day as I was driving home with my wife and friend , I started thinking of him and missing him intensely! Again my eyes burst open and a flood of tears rushed down my face ! It become almost impossible to drive and stay on the road. Our friend then said to my wife in Korean " master Khan just woke up and is missing Sobul". The very next moment after she said that the phone rang! It was master Khan from Korea calling ! He said " How are you?" He said that he had just fallen asleep one hour earlier and in his sleep he felt our love energy emanating so strongly that it woke him up and he had to call!!! I then said to him as I struggled to speak" There is no time and space in the realm of heart"!!!!!

For the Love of Nothing

If you were to tell a friend that you were in love with nothing , they probably would look at you as if you had a few screws loose in the head! We are all so accustomed to loving the things in life that for most it borders on obsession. We are addicted to things of all kinds shapes and sizes , physical forms , mental concepts and projections , and especially our emotions both positive & negative!It is this addiction or attachment that is really the fundamental disorder in the human psyche ! Most spiritual traditions , and especially eastern esoteric ones teach the concept of non- attachment which somehow will loosen the egos grip on the mind and lead to spiritual freedom. From my perspective we should actually go a couple of steps further . The first step would be feeling comfortable with having or pursuing nothing , followed by total embrace and love for nothing! This again sounds ludicrous to the rational mind , however nothing really means " no thing " or no objective reality ! In other words the only thing that nothing can be is supreme subjectivity or creative potential , otherwise it would be something and bound to the world objective form! By loving nothing we are actually loving our own unmanifested ground of potentiality that is the space that allows our creativity to be manifested ! Aha ! Now we are getting to the heart of it all ! The only real antidote for our addiction to things , is to love "no thing" . That is the path out of darkness and into peace and real freedom ,the peace that transcends all and has no opposite!

Transcendence

Awakening or enlightenment is ultimately about transcendence ! What keeps us bound in the world of samasra ( duality ) is our attachment to the forms of life including mental concepts and sticky emotions ! One of the greatest challenges and profound opportunities is when you fall totally in love with someone ! A love that makes you feel an inner flame and uncontrollable passion burning within your inner being. A love that makes you long to hear their voice , see their beautiful face and feel their bright abundant energy filling every pore and cell of your body and soul with the music of bliss!!! A love that brings you to the edge of losing your mind and hopelessly surrendering your total being to your beloved ! By passing through this most narrow of gates , you may find as you let go even of this love , that that love is not lost as you may intially fear ! You may find that that love is purified and tranformed !!! You may finally realize that that which is real cannot be lost ,and that which is not real , you never had anyway at all !!! Beyond that gate of total surrender lies a greater Love that has no opposite , That has no agenda or conditions of engagement , and has no stickiness to it whatsoever ! This is called compassion . Compassion happens when human love meets and surrenders to meditation ! It happens when you truly realize that all life is connected and divine ! It happens when you see the divinity within your inner being and recognize it in all of humanity . If you realize this connection , compassion naturally flows abundantly from your heart chakra into everyone you meet and all life that you see and encounter!!! The memory of life before this becomes an empty shell of useless existence , a kind of preliminary look into death . Life after this is then recognized as it is , eternal , and you are that !!!

Real Love

Real love is not something you can gain or possess! It is also something you cannot lose ! It flows automatically from heart to heart when all dualistic consciousness is transcended and oneness consciousness is realized ! You are Love itself !!! It is your soul's essence ! It is felt and emanates from within you as you recover your connection to the original Source energy of Life ! Any other so called love is just human ego drama , as we look in the wrong place searching to be fulfilled from outside our own being ! To recover that love you must look deep within your heart and soul beyond your thinking mind to the place of silence and stillness . That is Love's home within. The direct path home is through meditation !!!The journey within is the greatest adventure of all ! Go there with courage and sincerity !!!

Balancing Spiritual Paths

The Vedic path is predominantly focused on the experience of Divine Bliss ! The Buddhist path is one of understanding and compassion. Taoists focus on understanding nature and Qi or life energy in its many forms. When one can successfully balance all of these , they have truly become a real master and can open the way for many to be awakened to there Soul Essence!!! The key is finding that central point where we can recover our direct connection to the True Source and live from that! Heaven will then blossom and spread from heart to heart and soul to soul! That day is now at hand!!!!

Sincere Devotion

Central to almost all spiritual paths is the practice of sincere devotion ! Yogananda called it Bakti Yoga! It is the path of love & compassion that is inherited by transmission from master to devotee! To find such a master and experience this direct transmission is one of the most precious and profound things to experience on the spiritual journey!!! Remember , though , your devotion is for your growth and benefit , not for the master. A true master receives it from you as a conduit or representative of the Divine, not for his or her personal benefit! Also your devotion should be offered with the utmost sincerity , unblemished by expectation or personal agenda. When this pure connection is made , Life will become full of magic and synchronicity ,and heaven will dance with joy! Through this path you can be filled with infinite love that has no boundaries!!!!!!
